Whether it is because of the geopolitical landscape I was born into or simply a draw to the land we live on, since my beginnings into pottery I’ve been interested in sourcing the materials available in Atlantic Canada.
In our mass-produced, disposable world it’s vital to present what we the individuals can create from our homeland.
The vessels resemble organic figures; moving and growing upwards. Made from New Brunswick clays I’ve harvested. Clay from Miramichi and porcelain from Sussex. Finished with a surface of local wood ash and granite.100% sourced, harvested, and created in Atlantic Canada.
